Two lesson packages have been added to a new
section of Bare Geography called
Travel and Tourism.
Students are given a chance to learn key
geographical skills as they consider the tourist
industry, including causation and
evaluating interpretations. The two lesson packages
are:
Why is tourism growing?
What attracts tourists to
places?
There's more to come in this next section, so keep
checking back to see how Bare Geography develops.

Three lesson packages have been added to a new
section of Bare Geography called
Explosive Earth.
A broad range of geographical skills are covered in
these three lessons, including
sequencing,
sorting information and
causation. The lesson packages are:
What causes earthquakes?
Why do some earthquakes kill
and others don’t?
How is San Francisco protected
earthquakes?
There will be further updates to Explosive Earth in the
future, with new lesson packages dealing with
volcanoes.

A new revision package
has been added to the revision section of Bare
Geography based on the new module of lesson packages
about Extreme Climate.
Bare Geography revision packages allow students to
revise in school or at home
using a online presentation
and comprehensive revision
notes. The
flashcard containing the key points for
that topic can be printed out and carried around for
a constant reminder of the basics, or for last
minute cramming!

Three lesson packages have been added to the
Weather and Climate
section of Bare Geography, all of which deal with
Extreme Climate.
In these lessons there is a particular emphasis on
the teaching of sorting
information. The lesson packages are:
How do plants survive in
the desert?
How will animals adapt
as Arctic temperatures change?
What do plants need to survive
in the rainforest?
Keep your eyes peeled for the Extreme Climate
revision package, coming in the next few months!
